Welcome to Santa Clara

One of Silicon Valley’s most sought-after areas

Nestled in the heart of Silicon Valley, Santa Clara is home to several high-tech companies. Living here allows residents to enjoy proximity to San Jose while offering a more laid-back lifestyle. With a population of just over 130,000, residents enjoy a variety of things to do, including arts and culture, sports, chef-driven restaurants, and shops.

Santa Clara was originally founded in 1777 as Mission Santa Clara de Asis and was officially incorporated as a town in 1852. In 1862, it became a state-chartered city. During this time, the city encompassed an area that was only over two miles long and a half-mile wide. Soon, orchards and family farms began popping up, resulting in a thriving agricultural scene.

The majority of Santa Clara County is filled with ranch-style homes, but that doesn’t mean that’s all there is! A drive through the neighborhood will reveal everything from Tudor-style homes to Victorians.
